There cannot be a run on the FED. There could have been a run on the FED's gold stock years ago when the FED had to convert dollars into gold on demand. But the "gold window" was closed in 1971. As opposed to a run on a commercial bank where customers want to convert their deposits into cash, there is nothing to run on regarding the FED. The FED cannot go bust and can print as much money as it wants. No need for IMF loans.

Seems fair. You took a loan -you paid it back.
Except for the fact that we can obviously see the item, whatever it was, was paid for twice. The shop got paid for the item. The bank did too, and perhaps with interest. So for every credit card purchase, mortgage loan etc. the bank earns that amount per sale, (houses sell several times) plus interest.

Here's something that Webster should look into. In addition to a Tobin Tax, there ought to be a ROBOT LABOR INCOME TAX!
Every robot represents a job that was once done by a human. That robot is time-labor value that is going untaxed. If a corporation wants to use robots to make things, then that robot MUST be taxed on the value it creates to support the humans that once did that job.
Not only should companies fill out a 1040 for that robot, ALL imports must be assessed a tariff for robot labor

@cassiusjb The UK in some people eyes is golden egg, but really it is a nightmare and we had the Prime Minister recently said to not protest. Prime Minister is a joke and has no balls to tackle the banks because he puppet with his deputy prime minister. I heard allot what happening in America with TSA and stuff, thank god you escaped. Trouble is too many are still sleep to it. But there are few police waking up now as well. Some silver lining.

I left Cornwall when I was 21 because I had no where to live, now happily living in Asia.
